What private Pilates is, who it's for, what a session looks like, what it costs, and how to choose the right private studio.
Private Pilates means one instructor working only with you, or with you and the people you bring. There is no class to keep up with and no one else on the equipment. The session is built around your body, your goals and your pace. At Paraiso Pilates in Edgewater, Miami, every session works this way.
In a private session the instructor sets up the reformer for you, watches every movement and corrects your form as you go. In a group class the instructor teaches the whole room at once. In a private session all of the attention is yours, so you learn the technique properly and the workout can change from one minute to the next based on how your body responds.
Private does not have to mean alone. A duet or private group session is still private: the studio is reserved just for you and your friends or family, with no other clients in the room.
Every session is 50 minutes and taught by Naz Dipcin, who has over 20 years of Pilates experience and trained in Miami and across Europe. Naz came to Pilates herself while healing from scoliosis, so her teaching focuses on absolute attention and precise alignment.
The studio has 3 Balanced Body Allegro 2 reformers, 1 Cadillac and 1 Chair. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and grip socks (you can buy a pair at the studio). You'll have a dedicated parking spot, and we send you the exact details when you book.
Prices vary from studio to studio. At Paraiso Pilates:
